We're celebrating Rhubarb at Pagosa Baking Company!

earth day 2009

Our favorite pie ingredient is in season!  Molly has already been baking up our fabulous rhubarb custard pies, and they're flying out the door.

But we need MORE rhubarb...

Rhubarb is prolific here in Pagosa Springs.  We see it tucked next to garages of old homes, in mounds in local landscaping, and bordering Growing Domes and green houses.  There are three lovely plants in the bed on the east side of the bakery.  But they will soon be used up.

Help us out!  Bring in the stalks from your plants, minus the leaves, and we'll trade baked goods for your contribution.  And we'll  both have the satisfaction of seeing our lovely local vegetable turned into gorgeous rhubarb custard, strawberry rhubarb and raspberry rhubarb pies....
