You’re invited to submit an entry to our inaugural
Gingerbread House Contest!
Theme: A Happy, Healthy Home
All proceeds benefit Rise Above Violence
A total of 12 entries will be accepted, with prizes being awarded in each of the three categories. The categories and entry fees are as follows:
- Family – $25
- Teen (12 – 17) – $15
- Adult (18+) – $25
This contest also serves as a fundraising event for Rise Above Violence. In addition to the category prizes, each team is encouraged to have family and friends vote for their gingerbread house by donating $1/vote. The contestant that raises the most money receives the RISE Prize!
Space is limited to 12 entries with the goal of increasing in size in the future, so don’t wait to sign up! Fill out the entry form and return it to Pagosa Baking Company as soon as possible.
Rules:
- Applicants will be accepted in order of date/time received, starting November 8, 2024. Fill out this form to apply: GINGERBREAD ENTRY FORM OR pick up a form at Pagosa Baking Company.
All forms must be submitted at Pagosa Baking Company.
- You will be given a 12″ x 12″ board on which to build your gingerbread house. You’ll also be provided with foil to cover your board. Max height 10″.
- All materials (except board) must be edible, for example, no milk cartons. NO KITS.
- Category awards will be judged on creativity and taste – include an element that can be removed for tasting!
- Entries must be delivered to Pagosa Baking Company on Sunday December 1 or Monday December 2, between 10 and 2 pm
- Winners will be announced Sunday December 8 at the Pagosa Baking Company Holiday Open House from 3 pm to 5 pm. You do not have to be present to win.
- Share your houses with family and friends! Entries can be voted on for $1 per vote, using the assigned QR code. (received after we get your entry form and registration information). The house that gets the most votes wins the special RISE Prize!
